Showcase - The Great Goblin

I've been on a painting frenzy recently and I've just finished the Great Goblin from the Escape from Goblin Town box set. I've saturated the photo a little to bring out the detail at the cost of showing the true colours of the miniature: it's actually less yellow with a few crimson sores dotted around his grotesque body.

Showcase - Gandalf the Grey (Goblin Town)

So I finally finished Gandalf. I'm mostly happy with him apart from the sword where I decided to try out some NMM and think I failed miserably  Still, that was my first attempt and I'm sure I'll redo it when I have a little more experience.

The Hobbit - Gandalf : Work In Progress

I've been making very slow progress with the Hobbit box set, shown by my lack of activity on here and Youtube recently, due to A-level exams. However, I have now finished my January exams and have started work, once again, on Gandalf. His base is finished and I've begun to highlight his overcoat and base coat his tunic. I will try and get him finished within the week along with another batch of goblins.

The Hobbit - Goblin Town Bases

For the key characters in the Hobbit - Escape from Goblin Town box set I thought I'd spend a little longer on the bases to really blend them in to the excellent Goblin Town scenery produced by Games Workshop. So I got hold of some balsa wood and set to work making miniature planks of wood. This is how I got on:

If you're interested to see how I made this base then leave a comment and if enough people do so then I will make a instructional video/slideshow (up to you) on how to make one! Thanks for reading.
